That's an awesome concept! That's what we call 'creativity in Art'. I too am going to try to put some drops of my paints in water. Hope it produces good images!

I teach preschool, and I actually use a similar thing - a sun tea sized jar, filled with water, and I add drops of food color. The kids love it, and its a great way to calm them down. Interesting to see this, how a simple idea can be made into complex and beautiful art.

This technique was widely used in special effects work, for cloud and sky morphing effects and such.
