ABCD Syrup

What could be more appropriate for Pancake Day? A concept for maple syrup packaging, where the emphasis has been placed almost exclusively on the syrup classification. (It's the maple wood veneer that I really like, though.) Designed by student Andrée Rouette.

The Sliding House

Designed by London-based architectural firm dRMM, The Sliding House fits nicely into the barn and shed aesthetic of its rural countryside environment. But with the flip of a switch, the red barn exterior slides back to reveal a modern glass facade. The house is really three separate buildings in a row, with a sliding "skin" that allows for maximum flexibility in lighting and mood. More details here.

Diego Gravinese

Buenos Aires artist Diego Gravinese creates large-scale, hyper-realistic oil paintings where viewers are free to complete the storylines in their own imagination. Anyone want to leave a comment and tell me what's happening in the bottom painting? Bonus points for being humorous or outrageous (but stay clean, please).

Quorn Campaign

McCann Erickson London just sent me this print campaign for Quorn, a premium brand of all-natural, meat-free chilled and frozen foods in the UK. They thought I might like the whimsical illustration style, and they were right. Love that early 1970s feel with a modern touch.
