This time of year, I get a lot of new advertising and design graduates hitting me up for jobs and/or career advice. I truly think this Ira Glass clip should be required viewing upon graduation. It's the perfect advice and encouragement for anyone embarking upon a creative career (or for anyone struggling in the early years).

Truer words have not been spoken. I'm going to write one or more posts on this very topic soon, because Ira Glass illuminates the path of every creative person, or those striving to work more creatively. It takes time and working at your craft daily, being prolific, trying new things even if they don't quite work. Eventually you will break through to a new level...over and over again.
I'll drop by and let you know when I post about this—I'm going to launch a new artist blog site soon, in addition to CreativeSage.com. The new one will be CreativeSageArts.com. I'm re-launching all three of my sites in about a week and will blog about this topic shortly thereafter. Thanks for the post.
