Hello, TypePad
My transition to TypePad is now complete. All entries before this one were originally posted to my previous blog. I have dutifully transferred all dates and times, but none of the comments. I had lots of good comments. I miss my comments.
Congrats on the move- you have sidebars now!
Love reading your blog and insights on adverts.
I will miss you in my vox neighborhood!

Why would you move to 'typepad'? How is it better? Curious.

Aye. I'm intrigued as to why you've moved over? I'll definitely add your feed into my reader.
What are you getting from typepad that wasn't on offer in vox? Customisation?

Tim: Congrats on your move.
Ed & Alex: I was one of those readers who visited Tim (BB) over at Vox and found his content to be delightful.
I think Vox is a good platform. The challenge is for those who are NOT members of the VOX community and wish to leave comments. I think almost of us would agree that comments are the life-blood of a good blog. Leaving comments on a VOX blog is challenging for non-VOXers, and often not worth the effort (my personal experience).
The blogosphere is a very big place. I think that many more people will discover and interact with Tim as a result of his moving to a more open publishing platform.
Best wishes to all!

Aye. That's a bit of a problem all right. I think it sounds like Vox are considering their options on that one.
I hope they open it up a little bit. I guess one of the problems they are worried about is the joys of comment spam... but I'm sure they could work a way around that for non-vox users.
Fecking spam.. bane of my life. We've had our web server knocked out a couple of times by spam floods. Bastards!

Alex: I've been blogging for about 8 months of TypePad and have received nearly 1,000 comments. I've only had to delete 2 of them as inappropriate, and 2 other TrackBacks as junk. That's pretty few, in my book.
